Local Area Partnerships (LAPs)
LAPs are made up of elected
representatives from all 3 tiers of local government: parish
councils, South Lakeland District Council and Cumbria County
Council. They are based on groups or clusters of parishes
which agree to work together on common interests. Amongst other
things, LAPs influence decision-making about the way
services are delivered in their area.
